iDOLM@STER Image Colors and their meanings

I've always been impressed with the image colors assigned to the original 765 idols in iDOLM@STER and how well they suited each character with color symbolism in mind! I was curious to see how the other branches measured up with the other idols with confirmed image colors, and this chart was born!
Idols' colors were taken from project-imas wiki and アイマスライブ準備室, color meanings are from various web sources.

Red:
A striking primary color that is said to be the most dominant of colors and capable of increasing heart rate. Often used for protagonist characters due to its attention-grabbing nature.
Positive traits: Energy, passion, confidence, desire
Negative traits: Aggression, danger, malice, violence





Brown:
A relaxing color that reminds us of physical comfort and quality. Associated with earth and nature.
Positive traits: Honesty, nature, elegance, reliability
Negative traits: Dullness, predictability, timidness, stinginess


Orange:
A very stimulating color associated with summer that encourages energy and optimism. Evokes a strong "love it or hate it" vibe.
Positive traits: Enthusiasm, warmth, vibrance, fun
Negative traits: Overconfidence, immaturity, overbearing, insincerity


Yellow:
A primary color and the brightest color the human eye can see. Another polarizing color, associated with both the cheeriness of the sun and the danger of caution signs.
Positive traits: Cheerfulness, extroversion, optimism, happiness Negative traits: Anxiety, impatience, caution, cowardice




Green:
Not only is this color found widely in nature, it also has a strong association with money and health. Encourages a balance between logic and feelings.
Positive traits: Balance, prosperity, growth, harmony
Negative traits: Blandness, materialism, jealousy, inexperience





Turquoise:
An inviting color that is said to recharge the soul and provide stability. Can be overwhelming in large doses.
Positive traits: Stability, independance, creativity, clarity
Negative traits: Arrogance, stress, boastfulness, impulsiveness






Blue:
A primary color that is known to be calming, professional, and understanding. Perhaps the most universally-liked of all colors.
Positive traits: Intelligence, calmness, trust, logic
Negative traits: Aloofness, sadness, rigidity, passiveness





Pink:
Technically a shade of red rather than its own color, but nonetheless significant enough to evoke its own meanings seperate from red. Strongly associated with femininity.
Positive traits: Warmth, compassion, nurturing, tenderness
Negative traits: Immaturity, shallowness, low confidence, oversensitivity









Purple:
A mix of blue and red that is often associated with art, royalty, fantasy, and spirituality. Can be depressing in large doses.
Positive traits: Dignity, luxury, creativity, mystery
Negative traits: Arrogance, suppression, snobbery, fradulence





Black:
A strong color associated with power and sex appeal, as well as dominance. Popular among adolescents wanting to evoke feelings of defiance and maturity.
Positive traits: Strength, authority, sophisication, mystery
Negative traits: Intimidation, negativity, fear, sadness




Gray:
Perhaps the most neutral color of all, gray is a balance of black and white that evokes many qualities of both colors. Widely used in formal work enviornments.
Positive traits: Neutrality, wisdom, intelligence, reservation
Negative traits: Dreariness, pessimism, isolation, unemotional

White:
A true balance of all colors that evokes cleanliness and clarity. Used often for hospital settings, it inspires nostalgia and restoration.
Positive traits: Purity, simplicity, perfection, innocence
Negative traits: Emptiness, sterility, distance, coldness
